Your Love Never Fails

I’ve listened to this song about 12 times straight today.

I find the theme of this song to be so incredibly powerful. The only thing constant in our lives is Gods love. People change. Jobs end. You graduate college and move away. Relationships are over. The only thing that is constant is Christ.  Nothing…nothing…nothing…nothing…… absolutely nothing can separate us from his love. No matter what you’ve done or what you’re thinking about doing – He hasn’t, and will not leave your side. Ever.

Nothing you do could ever make God love you less. My very dear friend at work told me today that when we sin and are ashamed of what we’ve done – Jesus doesn’t get mad and turn His back on us.  He sits next to us and cries with us.

How beautiful. I love that. When my friends hurt, I hurt. When my family hurts, I hurt.

When you hurt, Jesus hurts.

Listen to the lyrics, and let me know what you think!

Nothing can separate
Even if I ran away
Your love never fails

I know I still make mistakes
But You have new mercies for me everyday
Your love never fails

Chorus:
You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning

And when the oceans rage
I don’t have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails

Verse 2:
The wind is strong and the water’s deep
But I’m not alone here in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails

The chasm is far too wide
I never thought I’d reach the other side
But Your love never fails

Bridge:
You make all things work together for my good
